For the Misjudged

What you know is my name,
But not the story behind it.
What you see is my face,
But not the person who owns it.
What you hear are my words,
But not the reason behind them.
What you feel is my presence,
But not the purpose for it.

What you know is my past,
But not the nightmares that come with it.
What you see are my faults,
But not my problems that caused them.
What you hear is my cry,
But not the story behind it.
What you feel is my weakness,
But not the strength that caused it.

So before you say or think that you know me,
That I am wrong, or it’s you I’m fooling
Take a good look at what you see,
What you know, hear and feel:
And remember that that isn’t me,
For you’ve never truly met the person within.

I love your words, and I’ve read some of your other posts, I can relate to most of them too.

Would love to hear your thoughts! :)
